Car Insurance Scion (Car Insurance). 1990 Blazer running RICH?

1990 Blazer running RICH? Hey I recently hydro locked my 1990 K5 Blazer while off roading. I fixed the issues and the truck was running good. However when I floor it I smell the odor of gas very strong in the cab. Its a TDI 350. let me know if you need more information I'll be online waiting for help.

O2 sensors for that vehicle are CHEAP. Even if you are not getting an O2 sensor code from the ECM, I would still replace it. I am confused, You say you are smelling gas however, you list it as a tdi. Please clarify. Sounds like a bad egr valve to me. Also make sure you didn't fry the cap and rotor, I have done that muddin a number of times. Cold water hitting the cap can cause a lot of build up on the terminals. I hope I have helped you.

Scion . Camaro driver side window not working?

Camaro driver side window not working? I have a 2000 Camaro that has had problems with the driver's side window not rolling up and down ever since I bought it 3 years ago. We have replaced the motor about 3 times already. I need help trying to figure out what it wrong with it this time because inspection is due... The window gave out a few months after I bought it, and the motor was replaced by professionals. Then maybe a year later, there goes the motor again. This time a friend replaced it, and it worked okay for about another year until it decided that it would work when it wanted to... it was replaced once again with a spare motor from the junkyard, but this one was a little messed up because my friend used it to make a turret for his nerf gun... (long story.) It once again worked and then a few months later started randomly working and not working again, and would sometimes be able to roll back up if you slammed hard enough on the door panel... So last November or so, I broke down and bought a brand new motor, thinking the motor from the junkyard had a faulty connector or something. It worked fine until last month, and since then, the window has not been able to roll down. I don't think it's the motor anymore, after replacing it so many times... could it be the switch? The switch on the driver's side controls both the driver's and passenger's window, and the passenger one is working just fine. When I press the switch to roll it down, it makes a faint electrical humming noise, not sure how to better describe it... or could it be bad wiring? A fuse? If it's a bad wire or something, how would we go about replacing that? If it has anything to do with it, this car sometimes has the problem that when it goes over a bump, the radio and both windows quit working, but it hasn't done that in over a year... I'd take it back to the professionals, but we are running out of money for this, so we will be doing all the work ourselves. Any takes on this would be appreciated!! car insurance.

Scion . How to Calculate the Final Drive Ratio for Rear Tires

Calculating the final drive ratio for rear tires lets you determine how to move your vehicle in the most efficient manner. You can also make adjustment, such as changing the tire size, to maximize the top speed and acceleration of a vehicle. By matching the tire size to the drive ratio, you can maximize fuel economy for a specific gear. Calculating the final drive ratio for the rear tires is a simple task that can be done in a few steps.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Vehicle service manual

Step by Step :
1
Locate the number of teeth in your vehicle's ring gear and the number of teeth in the vehicle's pinion gear in the service manual.
2
Determine the transmission gear ratio by looking it up in your service manual for the gear you want to calculate a final drive ratio.
3
Divide the number of teeth in the ring gear by the number of teeth in the pinion gear to determine the rear end ratio.
4
Multiply the rear end ratio by the transmission gear ratio to obtain the drive ratio.
5
Divide the rear tire size in inches by the drive ratio to determine the final drive ratio for rear tires.
Tips & Warnings
Verify your calculations if your drive axle ratio calculation is above 4.10 because common drive axle ratios for performance vehicles are typically 4.10 or less. Ratios for non-performance vehicles are lower.

Single-gear vehicles, such as some motorcycles, use 1 as the transmission gear ratio.

If the vehicle has been modified, the teeth on the gears/sprockets may not match the number listed in the service manual. In this case, count the teeth on the sprocket.

Scion . Tune Up Specifications for a 1988 3.0L Mercruiser Engine

The Mercruiser 3.0L is a 135 horsepower, four-cylinder engine that often is found in small boat craft. A Mercruiser motor from 1988 requires regular tuning and servicing to keep the corresponding boat running properly.
Battery
Like automobile engines, the battery of a marine engine is vital to the starting and response of the engine during use. A slow starting engine is the sign of a battery that must be charged or replaced. If the boat has been sitting for a period of time without use, take the battery to your local dealer to charge. If the battery of the Mercruiser 3.0 has not been replaced in four or five years, then the battery should be removed and replaced with a newer, identical brand.
Air Filter
The 1988 Mercruiser 3.0L motor features a 2V Carb fuel system. Keeping the air and fuel mixture balanced properly is important, and changing the air filter regularly is one important step in this procedure.
Spark Plugs and Wires
Spark plugs and spark plug wires are some of the most inexpensive engine parts to replace, yet imperative to engine starting and consistent firing. Inspect spark plugs and corresponding wires for faults and physical damage, removing the necessary plugs and wires for replacement.

14. Return to the instructions on checking drum brakes and pick up where you left off. .^ ^"~~ You'll be glad to know that your rear wheels have no wheel bearings to pack (unless your vehicle has front-wheel drive and the manual says that you can repack the rear bearings). You do have axle bearings, but you must replace these if they wear out; you can't repack them. If your car is quite old and you hear a clicking or grinding noise from the vicinity of your rear wheels, have these bearings checked and replaced if necessary. Hearing worn axle bearings is easiest when you drive down an alley or a narrow driveway because the noise echoes loudly. Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System A quick Way to tell Whether your bearing's Wearing If you just want to check your bearings for wear without removing the wheels, do the following: 1. Jack up your car and support it on safety stands. If you've been checking your brakes, your car is already jacked up; if 859 Car Insurance subaru forester 2009 xllbeaneditionsportutility4d 153832

not, instructions in Chapter 1 show you how to do this task safely. 2. Grasp each wheel at the top and bottom and attempt to rock it. There should be minimal movement. Excessive play may indicate that the wheel bearing is worn and needs adjustment or replacement. 3. Put the gearshift in Neutral if you have an automatic transmission, or take your manual transmission out of gear. 4. Rotate the wheel, listening for any unusual noise and feeling for any roughness as you rotate the wheel.

Flushing and Changing Brake Fluid If, after checking your brake system, you find that you have a leak or you have to bleed your brakes (see the section "Bleeding your brakes" for more information), you'll have to restore the brake fluid in your master cylinder to its proper level. Here are some things that you should know about buying and using brake fluid: 0 Always use top-quality brake fluid from a well-known manufacturer. Most vehicles call for either D.O.T. 3 or D.O.T. 4 fluid. Sometimes the type of fluid to use is listed on the master cylinder reservoir cover or cap. * Exposure to air swiftly contaminates brake fluid. The oxygen in the air oxidizes it and lowers its boiling point. Brake fluid also has an affinity for moisture, and the water vapor in the air can combine with the brake fluid to form ice crystals that make braking difficult in cold weather. Adding water vapor-contaminated fluid to your brake system can rust the system and create acids that etch your wheel cylinders and master cylinder and foul your brakes, causing them to work poorly — or not at all. Therefore, if you're going to add brake fluid to your system, buy a small can, add the fluid to your master cylinder, and throw the rest away,

Scion . Why are there not more alternative fuel vehicles?

.Chapter 18: Being a Buddy to Your Brakes and Bearings or use it only in emergencies. The stuff if pretty cheap, and your car shouldn't need more fluid after you fix a leak. If you keep a can with only a little fluid left in it, the air that fills up the rest of the space in the can contaminates the fluid, no matter how quickly you recap it. Keep brake fluid away from painted surfaces — if eats paint. (If this stuff seems scary, remember that the same statements can be made about turpentine and nail polish remover.) You should flush and replace the fluid in your brake system every two years. To do so, follow these steps: 1. Use an old turkey baster, or a cheap plastic one, to remove the old, dirty fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. 2. Use a lint-free cloth to wipe out the reservoir, if possible.

Scion . Why people think the canravagios good?

3. Pour new brake fluid into the reservoir until it reaches the "Full" line, replace the cap or lid, and then follow the steps in the next section, "Bleeding Your Brakes." As you bleed the brakes, the new fluid pushes the old fluid out of the system. Continue to bleed the brakes until you see clean, clear fluid exiting the bleeder screw. Bleeding \lour Brakes For those cars with squishy-feeling brakes, the way to get the air out of the lines is to bleed the brakes. To do the job, you need either a brake bleeder wrench or a combination wrench that fits the bleeder nozzle on your vehicle, a can of the proper brake fluid, a clean glass jar, and a friend. 1. Behind each of your brakes is a little nozzle called a brake bleeder screw (see Figure 18-13). Reaching this bleeder screw may be easier if you jack up the vehicle (see Chapter 1 for instructions and safety tips). If you're going to crawl underneath, lay down an old blanket or a thick layer of newspapers first to keep from getting chilly on days when the ground is cold. If you really want to be comfortable, beg or borrow a creeper to lie on and slide around with easily. (I describe creepers in Chapter 2.) 2. Special wrenches called bleeder wrenches fit the bleeder screw and can prevent rounding the screw's hex-head. Find the proper wrench or socket that fits the screw and loosen the screw.
